Blurbs From the Branch: E-Books

Filed under: Blurbs from the Branch, Event — Tags: , — Bethany Branch @ 11:42 am

Fall is here and with it comes rainy days and, oftentimes, a nasty cold and a day stuck in bed.  Too sick to hold a book or maybe you have nothing to read?  The library is here to help!  If you have internet access, you have library access!  Simply visit the Library2Go website  and BAM – you can check out an ebook or audiobook in no time!

Just this morning I downloaded the audiobook “The Invention of Hugo Cabret” by Brian Selznick . Within a few minutes my daughter was feeling better (and nicely distracted) and happily listening to this wonderful story while resting in bed.

If you are new to our digital library, visit this website http://www.wccls.org/library2gohelp to access our fantastic help section.  It’ll walk you through downloading titles, based on your device.  Or, better yet, attend an upcoming ebook class at the Cedar Mill Bethany Library on November 13 and 14, 9-10am (registration is required – please call 503-617-7323).  This two-day class will help you learn all about ebooks and even give you a chance to practice downloading to your device!

So cozy up to your computer this season and keep on reading!

  1. I adore The Invention of Hugo Cabret. I have the hardback version – I think my children would love an e-book version. Thanks for the recommendation. Rachel, Coventry Primary English.
